Jesus is calling the church of Thyatira to rise up above the seductions of their age. The culture at large is filled with sensuality that, if we let it, will impoverish our soul to the point of uselessness to God and our neighbor. God challenges us to live in a new way, and for those who do, God promises an eternity of righteous governance. Heaven is not an apathetic place, so come out of your slumber, for God is waiting to promote those who do his will to the end.
