Prayer Requests

Hello All,

Please join me in prayer for some of our brothers and sisters who join us in our Bible studies. Note some may be only readers while others are Zoomers. We make no distinction with our prayers.
Please pray for Sandra whose cancer continues to progress. Pray that she and her husband Doug are able to find comfort and peace. We do not see them about town as often as we once did. They always made a chance meeting a joyous happening with delightful conversation and pithy comments about our City.
Please pray for John's adventure with cancer. In a recent message he reported daily trips for radiation therapy; in his last message he reported his cancer had been stabilized. Pray from stabilization he can progress to remission. Please pray that he continues in good spirits and he is able to continue his frequent, face to face contacts with dear friends and his practice of daily communion. Bring him peace. Bring strength to his caregiver, Mary. And be mindful of his daily prayer - "Thy will be done."
Please pray for Tatyana who had an unanticipated, but very serious tussle with a bleeding stomach ulcer. The loss of blood caused a loss of consciousness and a rapid trip to the ER. Pray a prayer of thanksgiving that they were able to get to the hospital on time. Pray we are thankful she was in the US at the time. Pray thankfully for her caregivers and physicians. Pray her ulcer heals and her hemoglobin returns to normal. Pray she is able to adjust her diet so the incident does not repeat itself.

Two important dates come upon us in early November. On November 10th we will celebrate the 250th Birthday of the United States Marine Corps. We thankfully pray for 210,000 currently serving. We thankfully pray for the estimated 7,500,000 who have served for some period of time within those 250 years. Pray thankfully for God's gifts to these young men and women of honor, courage and discipline. Pray thankfully for the one unifying element of all Marines - they are resilient.
The other significant date is 11/11 when we celebrate Veterans Day. We offer our prayers of thanksgiving for the 17,600,000 veterans alive today (70,000 from WWII and 767,000 from the Korean War.); We pray thankfully for the 41,892,128 veterans from all of our wars, they have kept us free. We ask for a special prayer for the 35,574 homeless veterans, many battling addictions often begun to stifle the raging demons of war each veteran carries.

And my final prayers are for my fellow veterans - thank you for service - I appreciate you. But mostly for God's protection and His comfort. May I always be mindful -"Thy will be done!"

Love, hank
