Speak Up

Did you know that Jesus speaks to God about you?

Genesis says that God created humankind in His image. Since we have the fingerprints of the Almighty stamped into our DNA, we are infinitely valuable to Him and carry His glory. When we were unable to speak for ourselves, Jesus was the one who spoke on our behalf to God, and He continues to do so. This is a heartwarming feeling and also a beautiful example for us.

The world is dealing with so much pain, suffering, bondage, and despair, yet God wants to use us to fight for others who cannot fight for themselves. There are people, created in His image, who have never heard the hope we cling to. We have an amazing opportunity to speak to God and to others on behalf of those who do not know Him, or who are trapped in situations where they cannot speak for themselves. We can do this in a number of ways, but it always starts with speaking to God on their behalf through prayer.

Pray today for the lost, destitute, poor, and needy. Don’t let the silent cries of those who need eternal hope and earthly care go unnoticed.
