Peter, may I have this dance?

One Dance, A Lifetime of Meaning

This past weekend, I had the privilege of taking my daughter Regan to a daddy-daughter dance—and I don’t think I’ll ever forget it.

I had just returned from a full week of travel, including the incredible C-Suite for Christ Nashville chapter launch event featuring Riley Gaines

It was an energizing and meaningful time, both professionally and spiritually—but coming home to this dance with Regan was exactly what my soul needed.

From the moment she came out in her dress, eyes sparkling with excitement, to the way she reached for my hand as we stepped onto the dance floor, I was reminded of something deeper: this is what it’s all about.

Not just success or achievement—but presence.

Love. Legacy.

As a dad, especially when life gets full, it’s tempting to believe that being “around” is enough. But that night reminded me that real presence is intentional.

It’s dancing even when you’re tired.

It’s singing along to songs you barely know.

It’s showing her with every step and smile: You are seen. You are loved. You are worth everything.

A verse kept stirring in my heart all night:

“He will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers…” —Malachi 4:6

This dance wasn’t just a cute moment—it was sacred ground. A memory we’ll both carry.

And for me, it was a reminder that no matter how full life gets, making space for what matters most is never wasted. It’s often where the deepest kind of success is found.

So here’s my encouragement to you:

Show up for your loved ones.

Even if it’s just for a few minutes.

Even if you're tired.

Even if the world is pulling at you from all sides.

Those small, intentional moments can speak volumes—and maybe even change the world.

Grateful for the music, the laughter, and the little hand in mine that reminded me what truly matters.

The last few months have taken me coast to coast, and I’m filled with gratitude.

I’ve had the opportunity to speak at a wide range of events—both secular and faith-based—and each one has reminded me just how much I love what I do.

Whether it’s a corporate conference or a church gathering, I delight in helping people realize that the impossible is indeed possible.

There’s a special joy in educating and entertaining – sparking lightbulb moments while getting a room full of people to laugh, lean in, and see things from a new perspective.

I don’t take that privilege lightly.

One verse that keeps me grounded in this work is:

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” — Colossians 3:23

That verse reminds me who I’m ultimately serving—and it pushes me to show up with excellence, humility, and heart every single time.

To every organization that’s welcomed me in, and every person who’s shared how something clicked or shifted for them—thank you.

You make this work worth it.
