God of Justice and Mercy

Intro:

The blood of Jesus has the power to cover every sin, but there is wrath for those who reject the Savior. God loves to show mercy, but the wicked will not go unpunished. God’s judgments are just and His mercy is an undeserved gift. What He approves you should approve and what He condemns you must condemn.

Prayer:

Lord Your words says, “Will not the Judge of the whole earth do what is right?” I thank You that You are a just God and also a God Who delights in showing mercy. Through Your Son’s sacrifice, the humble can receive Your mercy, yet You condemn the rebellious. One day all wicked deeds will be brought into account and nothing escapes Your notice. You weigh the heart of the wicked and the righteous, and all things are open and laid bare before Your eyes.

I know that every person will appear before Your throne of judgment, some to mercy and some to face Your wrath. Lord, fill me with Your Holy Spirit, that I might approve what You approve, and condemn what You condemn. I rejoice that You are a just God with a heart of mercy. Worthy is the Lamb that was slain.
