Deliverer
Intro:
What do you do when you face temptation? If you are a believer, hopefully your answer is, “I run to Jesus.” Read these Bible verses and let your heart take courage in Him.
Prayer:
Jesus, I’m so grateful that You strengthen and protect me from the evil one. Sometimes the battle is so great and I am afraid that I will not be able to choose the right thing. In Jesus name, I bind the enemy who accuses me that ‘I’ll never make it’. Running to You is my refuge. You will provide the way of escape. Lord, help me to run to You every time. And forgive me for the times when I haven’t. Strengthen me to take every thought captive and to cling to You. You are my Deliverer, my heart trusts in You and I am helped.
Scripture:
1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it.”
2 Thessalonians 3:3 “But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil [one.]”
Psalms 62:8 “Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.”
Psalms 25:20 “Guard my soul and deliver me; Do not let me be ashamed, for I take refuge in Thee.”
Psalms 37:39-40 “But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in time of trouble. And the LORD helps them, and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked, and saves them, because they take refuge in Him.”
