Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

Sin creates instability. When we give in to our carnal nature we set the stage for the winds of life to blow us around like the chaff. Our coping mechanisms to cover up our shame and guilt cause us to shrink back when we should stand. This is where the good news of Jesus Christ helps us; Jesus stands for us in that assembly and calls us forward. He delivers us from our sin so that we can experience his righteousness and express that salvation to others. Jesus can deliver the wicked.
