For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, – Titus 2:11-13 (NIV)

Today’s commentary by Dave Whitehead,

Author of Making Sense of the Bible
Grace is not an excuse to lead an undisciplined life. Quite to the contrary, God’s grace is preparing us for that future moment when we will see Jesus Christ face to face. The reality of the Second Coming of Christ gives us the strength and focus to place godly boundaries in our lives. We are like a bride getting ready for the bridegroom, because Christ is coming back for His Church! Are you allowing grace to prepare you for that moment?
