The Measure of Success
And those who know your name put their trust in you,for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.—Psalm 9:10 ESV
In Up From Slavery: An Autobiography, Booker T. Washington wrote, “I have learned that success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles that he has overcome while trying to succeed.”
Who knows what will happen if, by God’s grace and help, you are able to overcome the hindrances imposed in your life. The more that is required of you, the stronger you will become in Him.
When people fail, it is usually from the inside out. Overcoming obstacles occurs when you place your trust in the One who knows your heart like no other. The power to go up and over is the power of Christ in you! You may be surprised to find that He has given you the ability to rise to every occasion.
No job, position, or responsibility is too overwhelming when, by your prayers and efforts, you reach it. Who knows what in you is yet to be developed for even greater positions of leadership! It is God who makes you and me mighty men and women of faith.
