In other words, God proclaims his faithfulness toward multiple generations. You may be the first Christian in your family line, or the Abraham in your family—pray for the next generation in your household. No matter which generation you represent, God’s faithfulness to your family has called you forth. This should comfort us, for this same faithfulness applies to our children as well. The God who called the first generation will be faithful with the last. This is who He is.
