For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory. Let his faithful people rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds.

by Dave Whitehead, Author of Making Sense of the BibleGod is not irritated at us. He is not tapping his foot impatiently as he waits for us to get our act together. No wonder the Psalmist writes of God’s people rejoicing and singing. God sent Jesus Christ to redeem a people who don’t walk in condemnation or guilt anymore. We are crowned with Jesus’ victory, and that is something to rejoice over!
