He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights. – Psalm 18:32-33 (NIV) Today’s commentary by Dave Whitehead, Author of Making Sense of the Bible We live in a daily tension: we must live confidently in God’s strength, yet as we do, we must realize that we are not the source of that strength. When things get tough, do you get depressed? That could be an indicator of where you think your source of strength lay. When things go well, do you get haughty? Once again, these are signs of wrong focus. When we acknowledge the One who gives us our identity we are able to rise above the setbacks and breakthroughs of life.
