The Way the Truth and the Life

Dear Friends,

Joy-filled greetings in the name of our risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!  There are three passages in our Gospel reading for this Sunday from John 14 that provide us with divine insights for how we can move forward during this season of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The first is "let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" (John 14:1).  Let's face it, we are surrounded by family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers whose hearts are troubled about their health, finances, employment, and more. We will explore ways that we can help equip them to replace their fears with hope!

The second is, "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father but by me" (John 14:6).  Often, we think about this verse in the context of leading others to Christ. But, how does this verse equip us to move forward in every area of our lives?

The third is "Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son" (John 14:13). This is a fantastic promise! So, how do we pray in Jesus' name, and how can we expect our prayers to be answered?
Come ready to discover answers to these questions as we gather to worship our risen Savior this Sunday!

Your servant in Christ,

The Rev. Dean F. Schultz - Christ the Redeemer Church in Springfield, VA
