And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons.”
Jesus healed the blind and the lepers; those who had demonic oppression were delivered. But the teachers of the law gave more credit to the demonic than they did to God. The Bible tells us that spiritual warfare is real, but like the religious leaders of Jesus time, we can discount the power of God that is available to us today. Don’t mistake the authority that Jesus gives His followers for something evil. God has promised that power to those who believe.
