There is coming a day when pain will cease; when the suffering that we have faced will become a memory. As C.S. Lewis wrote, “They say of some temporal suffering, ‘No future bliss can make up for it,’ not knowing that Heaven, once attained, will work backwards and turn even that agony into a glory.” God will take our pain and turn it into a crown. This is the order of the things to come.
