Samaritan's Purse

Samaritan's Purse opened Mosul Family Center to offer a place where men, women, and children learn how to bring their pain to God and forgive their enemies.

Offer Hope to the Brokenhearted This Christmas

Ako was in his early teen years when ISIS invaded Iraq. He was separated from his parents and was forced to live on the streets. He lived through endless threats of missile and bomb strikes, firefights, and ISIS capture. He witnessed unspeakable violence.

Ako attended Samaritan's Purse trauma recovery classes at Mosul Family Center and learned that he had a choice. He could live in fear, anxiety, and depression, or he could be at peace. The classes taught him how to make that decision on a daily basis.

Offer Hope

“Samaritan's Purse really saved my life,” Ako said, “and made me a better person to overcome everything with a new mindset.”

Samaritan's Purse provides Biblically based trauma counseling and spiritual care for men, women, and children in Iraq, Colombia, Ethiopia, and other countries. We're helping whole families learn how to deal with the trauma they've experienced, while introducing them to the Lord, who “is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18, ESV).

Will you help bring hope to a family this Christmas?
