THE MEANING BEHIND THE MAGIC Throughout Scripture there are signs that point to Jesus as the Christ. In preparation for Christmas, this Advent series will explore the meaning behind such signs that announce the birth of the Christ: the star of Bethlehem, the manger and swaddling clothes, the magi, and the virgin birth. SCRIPTURES  Matthew 2:1-12 HUDDLE/STUDY QUESTIONS What is one thing that stood out to you from this week’s message? What do gifts communicate about us? What is a special gift you’ve received that is still significant to you? How would you describe your journey to meeting Jesus, the new born king?   What do you do when you are unclear about the journey ahead? How will you worship and rejoice this Christmas?      WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW END OF YEAR GIVING 2022 CAMPAIGN    Crossroads Christmas Giving Campaign this year is in response to three on-going project needs we're excited for in the new year: Next Generation (Birth thru College) - summer day camp, mission trip and curriculum for Confirmation      Outreach and Marketing - A-frame signs, mailers and brochures to highlight ministries and events to our neighbors.  Facilities - Additional bathroom and kitchen prep area to hosts groups, whiteboard for conference/meeting room.  Every cent given will go directly to these three areas.  This is an invitation to give above and beyond your regular tithes and offerings. Would you prayerfully consider giving sacrificially this holiday season? The fund will remain open through December 31. Be sure to select “Christmas Giving 2022.”   CHRISTMAS GIVING 2022 GET CANDID WITH THE CLAUS! Santa Claus in coming to town! Join us at The Station Coffee Co. (130 N. Main Street in Florence) this Saturday, December 10th from 11am - 1pm and take a picture with Santa.  Children will also be able to write letters to Santa.  If they provide their address, Santa will write back! No reservations needed.   MEET GOD CHRISTMAS AT CROSSROADS  Bring your family and friends along as we celebrate Christmas Eve at Crossroads! We will gather on December 24 at 7 PM.  Gather with us as we celebrate the day when God stepped into the human story and changed the world forever. You can also view the church calendar and directory through Church Center.  Contact Kelly for login support or to schedule a tutorial for Crossroads Church Center.   MAKE LIFE BETTER Crossroads Giving Tree Program provides a happy Christmas to a family in need with our ministry partner, Florence Unified School District.  Our Giving Tree Team has identified a family in need.  There are 5 children in the family with one going through cancer treatment.  Please select a gift tag on the Giving Tree near the Hospitality Table.  Please bring your unwrapped gift to the church by December 18th.  Please do not wrap the gifts ahead of time.  Our Giving Tree "elves" will wrap the gifts for the family.  Need more information reach out to Michelle Scavo for additional information.     LIVES ARE CHANGED With your generosity, lives and communities are being transformed here in San Tan Valley and through our national and global partners.  Your gifts enable Crossroads to equip and resource the people of Crossroads and emerging leaders through opportunities like prayer, worship gatherings, Next Generation Ministries, Agape College Ministry, Hope Women's Center Grief Share, and other starting points in your discipleship journey with God and others.
