Sharpen Your Axe
November 11, 2023

“If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed, but skill will bring success.“ Ecclesiastes 10:10

On this Veterans Day, we are grateful for those who have served our nation and fought for our freedoms. May God bless you and your families.

Training is always challenging until you master your skill set and succeed — whether you play sports or have been trained for a job. As the training progresses, it becomes a little more enjoyable. Everyone must go through those first few months of training. You have to clear the hurdle of that first difficult experience in your marriage, career, family, or in your walk with God.

If You're Going Through Hell, Keep on Going
This Week's Episode

This week, Pastor Bobby teaches us from 1 Peter 5:6-11 and shares that in whatever we're going through right now, God can turn it for good if we just keep going, with his message, “If You’re Going through Hell, Keep on Going.” Our interview guest is Nikki Koziarz, an author, podcast host, Bible teacher, and speaker who is very passionate about teaching the Word to others. Her new book, Your New Now: Finding Strength and Wisdom When You Feel Stuck Where You Are, helps readers figure out their transitional seasons by studying Moses’s life and the seasons that he went through. Special music is provided by Dayna Sauble, who was born and raised in Orange County and has performed in productions like “Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat” & “Shrek." She also sings as a member of the a-cappella group WestBeat. Today, she performs “If the Lord Builds the House" and “My Redeemer Lives," accompanied by the Hour of Power Choir and Orchestra. Then, the choir, under the direction of Dr. Irene Messoloras, performs "The Last Words of David," accompanied by Alice Yoo on the piano. The closing hymn is "In Christ There Is No East or West." We hope you'll join us for this hour of hope and inspiration!
