Tailor-Made Hope in South Sudan As armed conflict raged through the streets of Khartoum, Sudan, Mary felt she had no choice but to flee with her children. The small family made the perilous journey 700 miles before finding a safe place in neighboring South Sudan. Once in their new country, food was hard to find and work was nonexistent. Mary was overjoyed when she learned about a tailoring class at a local church. The class is part of a Samaritan’s Purse livelihoods program that helps participants earn an income&mdaash;and teachers share with them the Good News of Jesus Christ.
