Fatherhood has so many joys.
Watching a child being born is the first, of course. It is awfully hard to top!
Somehow, though, they keep piling up. You watch kids’ personalities develop. Their minds grow, as they soak in their surroundings. Their interests and passions take root and flourish.
In an ideal world, you have shared passions with your kids. Hopefully you participate in, and enjoy, activities together.
I live in an ideal world.
Football – no surprise to anyone who has read endless stories about my football-crazed family, and my own personal affection for it – is the catalyst.
My sons Kennedy, 12, and Hudson, 10, are in their second and first years, respectively, of tackle football. After weeks of practice, games finally commenced … and they are crazy about it!
Me? I’m crazy about the quality time this shared passion creates for all of us.
We watch countless games on TV. Toss the pigskin in the backyard. When not watching or playing, it seems we’re talking football strategy.
Game days are a set-in-stone routine. After the final whistle blows, we grab a bite to eat … and analyze the games. What succeeded? What can be improved?
(Proud Dad Moment: In his first-ever game, playing offensive and defensive tackle, Hudson had a sack, three tackles for loss, and a forced fumble. Think he has a future?)
Most important, of course, is being together – laughing, talking, and learning. Kids grow up fast.
Years go by, seemingly in the blink of an eye. Grab these moments with your children, as many as possible.
Even if my sons’ interests differed from mine – if they were into chess, or drama, or basket weaving, or whatever – I’d adapt and go all in. I’d get them to every practice, and be there for every event.
As parents, we shouldn’t force our own interests onto our children. Doing so diverts from natural talents, and wastes their God-given potential.
We’ve all seen this happen (or maybe even experienced it ourselves). Everyone ends up disgruntled and disappointed.
Perhaps you’ve heard me say (write?) this before: It’s not about the activities. It’s about who you enjoy them with. Just having the opportunity, with someone you love, is an indescribable blessing.
Who are you “doing life” with? Can you share a passion(s) with them? Or, maybe meet halfway, and learn one of their interests, too?
If you’re flying solo, apart from those closest to you, land the plane. Learn about their favorite things to do.
Find a way to share a ride … while the runway is still open. |

If you’ve missed learning about C-Suite for Christ – whether via social media, e-mail, online TV shows or radio advertisements – you obviously need to leave your cave for some fresh air!
Seriously, though, we have striven to make this unique, passionate ministry as accessible as possible, to as many as possible. Still, the chance exists you haven’t yet experienced its power firsthand!
A great way to do so is through C-Suite for Christ’s many events – monthly meetings, quarterly Savior Summits, and our huge annual Covering the World in Christ Celebrations.
We aim to have something for everyone!
Admittedly, we sell tickets for larger events. It’s not cheap to hire great presenters, and gather at awesome venues.
But if money is an issue, we’ll help you overcome that hurdle, too!
Simply reply to this message, and you’ll get a free livestream ticket for the final (Oct. 17) day of the Fall 2024 Savior Summit (be sure to put “Savior Summit” in the subject line).
Live from Grace Church in Eden Prairie, Minn., you’ll hear Demi Leigh-Tebow’s passionate keynote address of love, advocacy and hope. A panel discussion follows.
Another special guest speaker – we’re keeping the lid on “who” – will be speaking on that day, as well.
You can experience all, via livestream, for free!
Why?
We want as many people as possible to partake of this celebration of Christ’s love and teachings. We’re not just lowering the barrier to entry – we’re smashing it!
Of course, nothing compares to enjoying the Fall 2024 Savior Summit in person.
Tickets remain, including for a VIP meet-and-greet with Demi Leigh-Tebow, and a full, unparalleled day of Christian professional development with more amazing speakers.
Why not dip your (virtual) toe in the water? Reply with “Savior Summit” in the subject line, and you’ll be set up for Oct. 17.
Who knows? Maybe you’ll be inspired to join the rapidly-growing membership of C-Suite for Christ.
We can’t put a price on strengthening one’s relationship with God – but we can help get the ball rolling! |

“'Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will send you out to fish for people.’ At once they left their nets and followed him.” – Mark 1:17-18 Very early in his ministry, Jesus Christ recruited two disciples by promising a unique career change. Simon Peter and his brother, Andrew, took His offer, and ascended into history.
Are you ready to do the same … for the same purpose?
C-Suite for Christ is seeking Fishers of Men (and Women). These are bold, unapologetic brothers and sisters, who share a burning desire to fulfill the organization’s mission to “Cover the World in Christ.”
They’re responsible for bringing people into the C-Suite for Christ ministry. The new arrivals might be members, corporate partners, event attendees … anyone who supports, and wants to engage in, its Christ-centric outreach.
We have recruited more than a dozen Fishers of Men thus far. Given the organization’s growth in chapters, membership, and interest, though, more are vitally needed!
The position is structured as an account and sales executive.
You’re responsible for identifying potential new members and corporate backers. Establishing and maintaining relationships. Amplifying the message of C-Suite for Christ. Engaging with churches, businesses, and other organizations with partnership potential.
Later in his ministry, Jesus told his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” Do you have what it takes to be a Fisher of Men (and Women)?
