Get Out of the Bleachers … and Experience the Amazing |
|
The ballcarrier was barreling toward me. Several blockers cleared his path.
It was a sweep play, directed to the sideline where I was working the chain gang. I braced for impact. There was nowhere to go.
Then, it happened … literally feet in front of me.
My son Kennedy, playing safety, shot in like a missile. He smashed into the running back. The ball popped out. Kennedy jumped on the fumble.
Without thinking, I dropped the chain, ran onto the field, and hugged him. I was beyond ecstatic. He changed the game. The moment will forever be imprinted on my mind.
It was the final week of football for Kennedy, 12, and his brother Hudson, 10. As regular readers know, my football-crazed family makes a Saturday ritual out of attending their games. We go out afterward for food and bonding.
The end of another season was admittedly a bit sad. Kennedy’s big play was a thrilling capstone, though. Yet, I wouldn’t have been nearly as close to the action without a realization made a few weeks earlier.
Football can be a difficult sport to watch when trying to track one player (i.e., your child). Twenty-two bodies are on the field, plus referees. It’s more complicated than baseball or basketball.
Sitting in the bleachers, too, I felt a mile away. Could my sons see me? Could they hear my shouted encouragement?
I knew the kids’ league was having trouble finding enough volunteers to run the games. I offered to help … and wound with the chain gang, right on the sideline.
The difference was momentous. I could see and hear every play like never before. Kennedy and Hudson heard my (amateur) coaching. Occasionally they’d look over, or briefly approach with a question.
The experience was downright rapturous. Had I stayed in the bleachers, it never would have happened. Stepping up – taking the initiative - transformed the moment, time after time, for my sons and me. I wish I’d done so earlier!
Have you considered this? It’s OK to be a spectator at your kids’ activities. They usually appreciate it. Nothing wrong with watching.
Getting out of the bleachers, though – takes the experience to a whole new level. You feel a part of the action. Energy and emotions swirl all around. It’s an ultimate “living in the moment.”
Think your kids won’t notice that you opted to participate with them, too? Oh, they will.
How can you be more involved in the activities of important people in your life? Can you move from spectator to participant? Most organizations always need help – what’s holding you back?
No promises, but you just might enjoy a powerful moment to remember. Either way, you’re doing the right thing – so don’t worry about fumbling the opportunity. |

Don’t Miss These Two New Mission Ministries! |
|
The mission of C-Suite for Christ – “Covering the World in Christ” - is lofty. Yet we don’t achieve great things by aiming low, right?
We also don’t achieve them on our own.
God blessed me with necessary talents to lead this fast-growing ministry. I’m an international keynote speaker. I make presentations about living fearlessly. I’m unafraid to speak anywhere, sometimes on hot cultural topics.
As much as I love guiding C-Suite for Christ, though, I need others to join me. The Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20) directs all Christians to make believers from the masses.
Still, not all share my skills. God has blessed them with other abilities. Everyone is unique!
Personality-wise, these other disciples might be introverted, or just not comfortable speaking in public, or to strangers. They need preparation to go into the world and share God’s Word. Given the viciousness of some secular forces, they’ll be mincemeat without it. Our disciples need real resources that address real world needs!
To this end, C-Suite for Christ is adding two new ministries to help its members with genuine, everyday living: |
|
- The Genesis 2:24 Ministry: Our partnership with a spouse is second only to our relationship with God. This marriage ministry guides members to enjoy fulfilling relationships centered on God’s promises. Members can partake in teaching, coursework and small groups to discover their marriages’ full joy.
- The Women’s Network: Women members of C-Suite for Christ asked for a bridge to build closer relationships with other female members. We’re obliging. This co-ed ministry employs speakers, a proprietary curriculum, coursework, small groups, and of course, fellowship. The goal is for all members to realize their God-given potential, personally and professionally.
Feedback from C-Suite for Christ members is the genesis of both ministries. They want strong relationships, at home and elsewhere, to fortify their forays into an often hostile world. God has their back. It’s understandable they seek support from others, too, especially those closest to them.
Do these latest offerings strike a note you’ve been longing to hear? E-mail me at pneuberger@csuiteforchrist.com to learn more, or join our mission to reclaim the world for Christ. We are aiming high indeed – and know that God will make our aim true. |

Get Your Topics In … Because We’re Going National! |
|
You can’t connect with people without meeting them where they are.
Everyone has a favorite communication channel. Everyone has a favored platform for absorbing content. So, which is best?
Simple – all of them!
If your goal is to touch everyone, you need to speak through every imaginable outlet. C-Suite for Christ, with its singular mission to “Cover the World in Christ,” is already engaged in a plethora of channels.
I’m thrilled to announce another: “Culture & Christ,” hosted by yours truly, will soon be airing on Family Talk (channel 131) on Sirius/XM!
The satellite radio and streaming service touts Family Talk as “featuring the best in Christian ministries, powerful talk radio and entertainment.” It’s an honor to be included in such an esteemed company!
I already create a lot of content. It’s part of being a leader for God’s glory, and (hopefully) giving people plenty to think about. For this latest venture, though, I’m employing a different approach.
“Culture & Christ” will tackle borderline controversial issues in the headlines (and Americans’ conversations). So which topics would you like me to tackle?
Seriously, don’t be shy. Abortion? Gay marrage? Trans insanity? Nothing is off-limits.
My goal is to prepare people to debate these topics when needed. Having facts, and well-reasoned talking points, are sound places to start.
We don’t have a confirmed start date for “Culture & Christ.” But get me your thoughts and ideas ASAP! Please e-mail to pneuberger@csuiteforchrist.com.
While we’re at it, let me remind you of the other C-Suite for Christ content offerings!
The C-Suite for Christ Podcast (available on Spotify, Anchor or Apple Podcast) is in the top 2 percent of all podcasts on earth for listenership and engagement. RightNow Media, the world’s largest platform of Christian media, has a series I hope you’ll find worth watching.
Don’t forget Covering the World in Christ with Paul M. Neuberger, which airs Saturdays on WISN-AM 1130 in Milwaukee, Wis., and is available for download. Did you know it’s one of the top faith-based radio shows in the iHeart Media empire?
Yes, we’re talking about a lot of different pieces here. But it’s all about meeting people where they’re at, and through their preferred platforms. “Culture & Christ” on Sirius/XM is just the latest … and certainly won’t be the last! |
