You’re invited to join the Cathedral as we make our way from Ash Wednesday through Holy Week to the celebration of Christ’s glorious Resurrection on Easter Due to capacity limits, reserved passes are required for the Easter Sunday Festival Holy Eucharist services at 8 am and 11:15 am. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent: a time of fasting, prayer, self-examination and preparation for the Easter Feast. Join us for a service of Holy Eucharist that includes the imposition of ashes, an ancient sign of repentance that serves as a reminder of our mortality. The 12 pm service features contemporary music and the 7 pm service features traditional music. Incense is used at both services. Passes are not required. Offered in thanksgiving for the life of the Reverend Carla Thompson. The Cathedral Congregation is partnering with Capital Caring Health and Facilitator Shannon Collier, MS, MA to offer four on-line sessions of grief education and support for the bereaved beginning March 12. Participants will learn about normalizing and sharing grief, grief expressions, coping and adaptation, and integration of grief for moving forward. The class is limited to 12 participants.
