Caring for Children in Crisis

Three children with Samaritan's Purse backpacks and books.

Caring for Vulnerable Children in Vietnam

Many orphaned and abandoned boys and girls in Vietnam grow up in social centers feeling alone and traumatized by their past, which makes them especially vulnerable to exploitation. Our staff visit these centers to provide them with essential education and support, teaching them practical skills and offering scholarships to older students transitioning to university life.

Tua grew up in one such center. Now 18 and attending a university in Hanoi on one of our scholarships, he says, “The greatest thing I learned there is love. I learned this through the care and affection shown by Samaritan's Purse.”

We also support a culinary school in Hanoi that offers young people from remote areas the opportunity to learn skills that will help them break free from the cycle of poverty.

We invite you to learn more about our work with children in crisis by reading a special web feature about our efforts in both Vietnam and Liberia.

We appreciate your partnership to help children at risk around the world and pray that the Lord will reveal Himself to them in amazing ways!

Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
James 1:27
