Helping Children in Crisis

Good News for At-Risk
Children in Liberia

Deaf children and others born with disabilities in Liberia are often thought of as cursed. Many are abandoned by their family and community at an early age. But God's people are helping these youngsters at Samaritan's Purse-supported schools like Hope for the Deaf. Without such programs, these boys and girls will likely find themselves at risk of exploitation, poverty, and abuse.

Sally attends the Hope for the Deaf school and has learned how to read, write, and perform all the skills necessary to begin her own tailoring business when she graduates. Most of all, she's embraced God's love for her as she is taught every day from His Word.

"If I become a good dressmaker, I would like to build a house for the future and help other people too—as God has helped me," Sally said.

If you'd like to learn more about our work with children in crisis, please read a special web feature about our efforts in both Liberia and Vietnam.

Thank you for your partnership to help the most vulnerable among us and let them know how much God loves them.

Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.
Mark 10:14
