A starlit feast for Rosh Hashanah

Dear peterhovis@me.com,

For us in the UK, it’s almost a relief that summer is finally, on 22nd September, giving way to autumn! After weeks of blisteringly hot days and a few dramatic thunderstorms – quite uncharacteristic for our temperate little isle – we’ve been feeling a little out of sorts and are very much looking forward to the familiar cooling winds and comforting pitter-patter of light rain that accompany the chillier months.

Of course, with the advent of autumn comes the celebration of harvest season and, for our Jewish friends, the new year – also on 22nd September. Thus, we have a gorgeous new Rosh Hashanah card to unveil, encapsulating all the traditions of the occasion with a Symbol in the Stars over a feast at the dawn of the new year.

For those who prefer a softer colour palette, however, we have A Fruitful New Year and Festive Fruits, or for some general autumnal greetings, perhaps you could try Harvest Home or Autumn Wreath? Over the years we’ve created a cornucopia of cards perfect for harvest season celebrations – whether it be Rosh Hashanah, an October birthday, or even wishing a farmer friend a bountiful harvest!

So why not become a member and send some of these delightful cards this autumn? It’s just $30 / £24 / €28 for an entire year of the classiest cards on the web.

Handy Tip! We have a new Behind the Scenes post! Back in April we released a Bespoke birthday card that lets you choose the birth flower for the recipient. The flower for September is the vibrant and pulchritudinous aster, so we thought it a perfect time to talk a little about birth flowers.

With best wishes,
The Jacquie Lawson team
