Kingdom and Calling

Kingdom and Calling As Christianity spread throughout the Roman Empire, oppression and persecution of believers increased greatly. Through images of horrible beasts and widespread destruction, John encouraged the churches he wrote to in Revelation to persevere in the faith and proclaim the gospel to all people during those trying times. Despite how frightening these visions were, the promise of the triumphant return of Christ in His glory outweighed them all. His return would be both beautiful and terrifying, a dividing line between the faithful and the rebellious. To those who followed Christ in obedience, His return meant the fulfillment of hope, an eternity spent in the presence of a loving Father. But to those who did not place their faith in Christ as Lord and Savior, judgment and eternal separation from God remained. We cannot be distracted from our urgent mission to share Christ with the world. Answer the call by testifying to the hope you have in Jesus, and let your life be a witness to the immeasurable worth of a relationship with Him.
