"Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind." Philippians 2:1-3
Yesterday, I talked about faith and used the analogy that we are soft clay in God’s hands, ready for him to mold us into tender-hearted people. Faith allows us to be full of compassion! It makes it possible to be soft to God's word and will, and guess what? This is a great place to be! Can we unashamedly state that tough-minded faith always comes from tender-hearted people?...
This week, Pastor Bobby encourages you to commit your life to Jesus Christ and turn your back on the thing that made you sick, with today’s message, “Do You Want to Get Well?” Special music is provided by Robin De Lano. Robin is a vocalist from Southern California who has performed all over the world. She earned her degree in music and drama from the University of California at Irvine, and has performed on stage and screen, including the Hollywood Bowl, the Ahmanson Theater, Disney Concert Hall and Disneyland. Today, Robin performs, “Let it Out” and “If the Lord Builds the House," joined by backup singers Charlean Carmon, Kenya Hathaway and Dee Dee Foster, and accompanied by Dr. Marc Riley and the Hour of Power Orchestra. Then, Preston Parker along with his brother Princeton Parker perform “What Can I Do," joined by backup singers Raffia Thomas, LaNiece McKay and Nicole Thompson, along with the Hour of Power Choir, directed by Dr. Irene Messoloras, and accompanied by Dr. Marc Riley and the Hour of Power Orchestra. Finally, directed by guest conductor Bruce Rogers, the Hour of Power Choir performs “Alleluia." We hope you join us for this hour of inspiration!
