This Week at Crossroads I 11.17.2022

SOLID FOUNDATION
As Christians, we build our lives upon the rock of Christ. As the world crumbles around us, instead of grounding our identity, sense of direction, meaning, and hope in the subjective sands of this world—which will one day come to an end—we should ground our lives in the rock of the eternal, unchanging love of God in Christ. In him, we will find the strength to stand our ground; in him, we will not be shaken.

SCRIPTURES
Matthew 7:24-29

HUDDLE/STUDY QUESTIONS
  1. What is one thing that stood out to you from this week’s message?
  2. What does it mean to build our lives upon the rock of Christ?
  3. Have you experienced any significant storms in your life recently?
  4. How has Christ given you strength and stability in those times?
  5. Who or what defines your sense of identity, direction, meaning, hope, and truth?

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
PAINTERS NEEDED
The meeting/classroom is now completely built out.  We are a couple steps away from welcoming KidsCity and other guests to utilize that space.  We need a couple of people willing to invest in the next generation and our church home by painting the space.  Please sign up to let us know you're availability.  If you have additional questions, please contact Kelly Dunlap.
OH WHAT FUN IT IS!
Join us for our annual Advent and Christmas Decorating party immediately following our worship service this Sunday (Nov. 20).  This is a simple and easy way to get into the sprit of the holiday season.  No prep is needed and all skills are welcomed. Last year we finished decorating in about 1.5 hours.  Stay for a few minutes or the entire time.  We appreciate you.
MEET GOD
S P E C I A L  G U E S T: Kari Schnieder
This Sunday our worship team will be featuring special guest Kari Schnieder! Kari is a founding covenant disciple of Crossroads.  She currently resides in North Dakota with her husband (also a founding covenant disciple) David.  She is a gifted and prophetic vocalist and musician that you will not want to miss!

CHRISTMAS AT CROSSROADS
It's the most wonderful time of the year! Families and friends gather together, parties are thrown, gifts are exchanged, and decorations are displayed. We want to celebrate this Christmas season with you at Crossroads Church and The Station Coffee Company.  We have so many fun Christmas activities to make this season special, not to mention a new teaching series called "The Meaning Behind The Magic" that will bring the joy of the Christmas story alive. Make this Christmas like no other.

MEET FRIENDS
CAROLING @ ENCANTERRA
Join us on Sunday, December 4th at the Encanterra Clubhouse.  Crossroads is invited to lead Christmas caroling.  In addition people can spend time with Santa and the Tree Lighting event.  For more information, contact Pastor Tim.
FORM MEET UP
NOV. 20th 6:30PM
FORM Young Adult Ministry meets this Sunday for  community gathering and hang out.  All Young Adults 18-30something are invited to join.  We'll meet at the Ministry House at ASU Poly and then head over to the Main Event. For more information contact Rachel Evans. FORM is on our Church Center App.  Join and stay in the loop!

CHURCH CENTER APP IS HERE

We are transitioning away from Breeze to another platform called Planning Center Online (PCO) beginning January 1, 2023. We were using Breeze to manage contact information, group information, volunteer, general communication and many behind-the-scenes processes. All of this is now done in PCO.  The next step is for you to download the free Church Center app that integrates with Planning Center.  This will enable you to manage your profile information, donations, events you've registered for, and groups you attend or lead. You can also view a church calendar and directory.  Help is available throughout the week to get you set up.  Contact Kelly Dunlap for support.
