Curious about this year’s conference theme “Earth Crammed with Heaven?” Speaker topics have been released over at colsonconference.org! At CCNC, you can join us on a journey to see the glories that are constantly referenced, but rarely explored; the truths and beauties that demand not only our protection, but our response. Because God has placed the answers everywhere, we can seek his glory in science, creativity, law, suffering, medicine, the family....truly the list is endless. This conference is an invitation to encounter God and His mighty works, and to answer His call to enter into them more fully.
How Jesus' Followers in History Restored Beauty to the World
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder… or is it? Jesus-followers in history believed that our experience with beauty was objectively real because truth—in Jesus—was objectively knowable. We’ll look at their work in visual art, architecture, music, and other areas to learn how we can experience beauty and reveal it to others.
We are called to be truth-tellers. But society is pressing us to be quiet, claiming that simply speaking truth is creating harm and spreading hatred. But to tell the truth is to know God. We do so through the mind He gave us and the use of our senses, but also dependent on the Holy Spirit, aware that we need His wisdom for both understanding special and general revelation. We speak the truth with courage, knowing that the truth contributes to human flourishing.
