Another Weekend to Remember – for All the Right Reasons!

A few years ago, while recovering from serious workaholism, I vowed to spend more quality time with my family. They’d suffered from my tunnel vision. It was time to make it up to them.

I started by devising Dudes Weekend. Every summer, my two sons and I escape for two weeks of male bonding time. At least, this is how I characterize of our endless parade of pizza pounding, late-night TV watching, fart jokes and other productive escapades.

Last year I started another tradition: Daddy-Daughter Weekend. My now 5-year-old daughter, Reagan, and I leave for a few days of doing, frankly, pretty much anything we want.

What does this encompass?

Holing up in a hotel. Swimming like fish. Getting up to speed on her Roblox game. Telling jokes. Laughing uproariously. Eating pizza (sensing a theme here?).

We just returned from our second “Weekend” … and it was even more fulfilling than the first. I was reminded how fast my little girl is growing up. I shudder to think of the things I would have missed, had I not pulled out of my work-obsessed spiral several years ago.

It was yet another shoulder-tap about God’s blessings. He puts people in our lives on purpose, for a purpose. We should embrace them at every opportunity.

I wouldn’t trade this “away” time with my daughter for anything.

Leaving the hotel, and packing the car to come home, was hard. Yet, we’ll be more stoked for the next time we escape for a weekend of fun, just the two of us.

Realize those people in your life who truly enrich you. Find a way to create joy-filled, distraction-free time with them. You’ll feel how good life can be.

It’s never too late to create new traditions that teach you what – and who - are really important.

Let's Get Real About Cold Calling

Mohamed “Zizo” Abdelaziz was doing everything right – at least, according to the cold call training his real estate agency had provided him.

He asked qualifying questions: Had the prospect considered selling? Did they have a relationship with a realtor?

He emphasized his real estate expertise. He explained his in-depth services. He detailed his agency’s depth of resources.

Still, he wasn’t getting anywhere. His outreach in the Dallas area, where Zizolives, came up largely empty. Why?

It’s not too hard, if you think about it.

Selling a home is a very personal transaction. Sellers put a tremendous amount of trust in their realtor. They share very private information – especially, financial – with this person. They expect the best selling price and a smooth process.

Would you hire someone who just called out of the blue … regardless of how competent and experienced they sounded? Probably not.

You’d want someone to whom you felt connected, who instilled a gut-level comfort and confidence in you.

Zizo had doubts about his cold call training. He found it lacking, for reasons he couldn’t quite define. Bottom line: He didn’t feel set up for success.

Zizo knew there was a better way. Undeterred, he dove into researching.

He found it – with my individualized cold call training.

He realized immediately how my program is different. It’s about selling you first – not your company, products or services. The element of human nature simply can’t be overlooked.

See, people buy people first. Establishing an emotional connection is top priority, long before any actual “selling.” Prospective customers won’t buy, without first feeling a bond with you, the seller.

My six-week course opened Zizo’s eyes. He took the education to heart, too.

Zizo landed two property listings before even completing the training – including one for seven figures!

“Paul, you’re my trainer for life,” he said afterward. Truth is, my cold call training is about changing lives. Sales is a tough gig. It’s easy to get frustrated and worn down.

Knowing the secrets of successful cold calling – which every salesperson uses at some point – opens the door to conversations, appointments, and sales. Think this won’t make life better?

It did for Zizo. Read his testimonial here, in the “Recommendations received” section.

Real estate, like many other businesses, is a hyper-competitive market. Why not give yourself an edge?

What Does Your Sleeve Say?

We just received a monster order for the C-Suite for Christ Swag Store. The shelves had gotten pretty bare. Merchandise has been selling at an ever-increasing velocity.

It was time to replenish … but don’t get the wrong idea about the “why!”

The store’s polo shirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, coffee mugs and other items aren’tabout promoting C-Suite for Christ. Think again.

Rather, they’re about starting conversations. The C-Suite for Christ Swag Store is full of useful tools to get people talking – and thus fulfill the Great Commission.

This edict of evangelism is found in Matthew 28:19-20.

Jesus commands his disciples to “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

Wow. This is a really heavy work order. Where to start?

At the C-Suite for Christ Swag Store! When you display Christianity, literally on your sleeve, you share the Good News. You show the world Whose you are. You create an opportunity for conversation.

Honoring the Great Commission is hard. Talking to others about Jesus doesn’t come naturally to most. Why not make it abundantly obvious where your priorities lie?

We’re directed to start conversations with those yet uncalled. Merchandise from the C-Suite for Christ Swag Store makes it easier … and here’s an offer to make it easier on your pocketbook!

Reply to this message with SWAG in the subject line or e-mail body. I’ll send you a link for a $25 gift certificate.

Go shopping at the store. You can share more faith for less money!

The shelves are stocked. The inventory is plentiful.

Equip yourself to be great at the Great Commission … and go forth into all the nations!
