Prayer Request

Hello All,

I received the email below a few moments ago. 

John Boggio is the son and primary caregiver for Hank Boggio. Hank and I served in the 3d Marine Regiment together 70 years ago. He is a great guy and after the Marine Corps he became a beloved High School football coach in Northern New Jersey. The school where he coached has named the football stadium in his honor. 

John and Hank have been with us for Bible study a couple of times. But Hank does not sleep well at night and John gets up with him. Please keep them both in your prayers.

Hi Everyone. As you may know, I am my father’s caregiver. He has dementia. I took him to the ER on Monday as his left leg and foot became very swollen. It turns out he has a large blood clot the length of his left leg. He is now on blood thinners which have helped. However, after a long night of trying to get my dad to sleep, he finally fell asleep at 4am. At 7:30am Wednesday morning he got up to go the bathroom and slipped and fell which is a bad thing with blood thinners.  I did not wake up as I was tired from the night before and did not hear him get up even though he now sleeps in a separate bed in my bedroom. The ER took x ray of his wrist and and ct of his head. All normal. We arrived back at my house at 12pm, sat my dad on the couch and went to the kitchen to cook him breakfast. Not five minutes into cooking I hear a crash and so my dad had fallen again on top of the TV table and we had to go back to the ER again. Luckily after extensive x-rays and CT scans and bloodwork everything came back negative and we were able to come back home, but he is very sore. Has a hematoma on his left foot leg area and his right upper arm shoulder is very sore as well from the second fall. If you can keep my father in your prayers so that he has a full recovery and able to walk without issues and that the blood clot does not cause any issues. Love, John
