March Powerlines - Sparrows: Valuable, Powerful, and Purposeful

View this email in your browser Dear Friend, In Matthew 10:29-31, Jesus reminds us that sparrows, though small, embody God’s unwavering love and care for all of His creation. Here are three lessons we can learn from sparrows and how they reflect God’s heart for us as His children: 1. God’s Provision is Unfailing (Philippians 4:19) Sparrows do not sow nor reap, yet the Lord ensures they are fed. This reminds us that just as He provides for the sparrows, He promises to meet our needs. As Philippians 4:19 assures us, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” 2. God Values the Humble and the Small (1 Samuel 16:7) Though sparrows may seem small, God assigns value and purpose to all His creations. God sees, loves, and values you deeply. As 1 Samuel 16:7 says, "The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." 3. God Calls Us to Live Freely in His Care (Isaiah 26:3) Sparrows fly freely, unburdened by worry. We, too, are invited to live a life without fear. Isaiah 26:3 affirms this: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” Like the sparrow, our ministry may seem small, but we know that every message has the power to transform lives. This ministry has grown because of the faithfulness of friends like you, who have trusted God’s call to support His work.
