Growing a Garden of Faith in Liberia

Tutu, an Eden project beneficiary, stands in her garden.

A Flourishing Garden
of Faith in Liberia

Tutu lives in Liberia, one of the poorest nations on earth, where hunger and malnutrition are constant threats. After her husband lost his job, she didn't know how they were going to feed their family.

“We had nothing. Some days we didn’t have food to eat. The children would be crying from hunger.”

In desperation, she cried out to God—and God heard her prayer. Soon, she was selected to participate in The Eden Project, an urban gardening and livelihoods initiative started by Samaritan's Purse to help vulnerable families.

Please pray for our livelihoods programs in Liberia and other countries as we help households secure a better future and share with them the Good News of Jesus Christ.

If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.
Isaiah 58:10 (ESV)
