Bruce O. Boston has a BD and PhD from Princeton Theological Seminary. As he developed his career in professioinal writing and published in over thirty different journals, he was also teaching Adult Education classes and offering occasional preaching at St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Reston, Va where he was a member since 1975. The title of this book is the life motto of Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy, a German-American philosopher, teacher and theologian whose life work became the focus of Boston's PhD thesis. Rosenstock-Huessy's journey through the challenges of rising Nazism and emigration to the US demanded persistent defining of the meaning of his faith in a changing world, and it deeply influenced Boston's own journey to define the meaning of his Christian faith today.
