What you feed your soul determines the health of your spirit. If you binge on Netflix filth, endless TikTok nonsense, and toxic media that glorifies sin, don’t be surprised when your faith feels weak, your mind is anxious, and your heart drifts from God. The world is not neutral—it is actively discipling you every single day. Jesus warned us, “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light” (Matthew 6:22). Translation? Garbage in, garbage out. If you let the world’s sewage pour into your soul, don’t expect to shine with the light of Christ. Christians love to say, “We’re in the world, not of the world,” but too many live like their playlist, podcast queue, and screen time belong to Satan himself. Every song, every show, every article carries a spirit, and it either pushes you closer to God or drags you further away. There is no neutral ground. When we consume the world’s content, we slowly conform to it. Paul didn’t mince words when he said, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2). If you’re filling your mind with the world’s poison, how can you expect your soul to stay holy? This is why it matters. Because what entertains you eventually shapes you. What you normalize, you begin to tolerate. What you tolerate, you begin to practice. And what you practice eventually defines your destiny. We cannot cover the world in Christ if we ourselves are covered in filth. Pay attention to what you consume. Guard your heart, protect your eyes, and discipline your mind. Heaven is not for those who casually drift—it is for those who fight, who stand, who filter, and who refuse to let the devil’s content corrupt their souls. |
