Rejoice in the Unchanging Truth of God The truth we accept determines our perspective. The perspective we hold drives our actions. And our actions reflect our faith. So we start with the truth that in Jesus, we are made new, we have been bought by His blood, and we are involved in a bigger God story than we could ever imagine. But how does this perspective show up in our actions? We can proclaim that His gospel is a reality, but in moments of hardship, we often find ourselves paralyzed by a fear that cripples our joy. All the while, God—all-knowing and all-powerful—holds the future in His hands and wants us to enjoy and rest in His gift of life. In a moment our emotions may sway, but we know the truth of the Lord is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. We can count on His steadfastness and rejoice in it. Paul said that this kind of trust and rejoicing is reasonable! When we allow this to be our truth, our perspective is rooted in God’s faithfulness and our actions reflect His unconditional compassion, forgiveness, and love. Rejoice today in God’s unchanging truths and promises!
