Peter, go down the icy slide!
Life’s best moments rarely follow the script.
This weekend, my family and I braved a bitterly cold, snowy night to see a local performance of A Christmas Carol.
The show was wonderful, but the memory we’ll talk about for years didn’t happen on the stage — it happened in the school parking lot.
On the walk in, my oldest son, Kennedy, kept joking, “I’m going to play on the playground on the way back.”
It was nearly zero degrees. Snow everywhere. Wind biting.
He was clearly kidding.
Dad-mode activated, I kept replying, “No. Absolutely not.”
But as we were leaving the show, feeling festive and mischievous, I said, “Alright, go for it.”
He froze. I called his bluff.
But to his credit, he summoned the courage, climbed the cold, icy slide… and went down.
And that’s when the universe hit “boost mode.”
There was a sheet of ice at the bottom — perfectly placed, perfectly slick — and it launched him right off the end like Clark Griswold on that turbo-charged sled in Christmas Vacation.
He flew. He landed in the snow.
I laughed harder than I have in some time.
Then Hudson — my fearless youngest son — refused to be outdone.
He tried. The same thing happened.
Cue round two of uncontrollable laughter. To watch this hilarious moment for yourself, check out the brief video I shot below.
We did so many wonderful things this weekend.
We made good memories. We followed the plan.
But do you know what our collective highlight was?
Two boys spontaneously playing on a frozen playground, doing the exact opposite of what was “supposed” to happen, and turning a throwaway moment into a core memory.
It wasn’t on the agenda. It wasn’t in the itinerary.
It wasn’t even a good idea on paper.
But it was perfect.
Takeaway?
Life is short. Laugh hard. Break the routine.
Color outside the lines. Embrace the unpredictable.
Some of God’s sweetest blessings show up only when we’re willing to loosen our grip on the plan.
“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” — Proverbs 16:9
Let joy sneak up on you. Let memories surprise you.
And once in a while, go down the icy slide.
Where Faithful Women Rise and Lead Without Apology
The C-Suite for Christ Women’s Network is a movement within the movement—a Christ-centered sisterhood built specifically for executive women who refuse to separate their faith from their leadership.
This is not another networking group, nor is it a watered-down “women’s ministry.” It is a Holy-Spirit-charged community for women who lead in boardrooms, businesses, and marketplaces yet long for a place where Scripture, sisterhood, and executive excellence converge.
In a world obsessed with self-promotion, compromise, and corporate conformity, this Network exists to raise up bold, sanctified leaders who shine the light of Christ without apology.
“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” — Proverbs 31:25.
That is the kind of woman this Network equips, celebrates, and unleashes.
The December 18 Information Session is the launch pad—your opportunity to hear the vision, understand the mission, and step into something radically different from anything Christian women in business have ever been offered.
This gathering will cast the vision for a community that disciples its members, champions their calling, equips them to stand firm in a secular marketplace, and surrounds them with women who share their convictions.
Registration for the Women's Network Information Session is open now—claim your spot here.
And if you already know this is for you, don’t wait. Begin the application process today and take your place in the founding wave of this transformative ministry.
Step boldly into what God is building—because the world needs Christ-centered women who lead with fire, conviction, and unshakeable faith right now.
Honoring the Companies That Refuse to Hide Their Faith
We extend our deepest gratitude to our C-Suite for Christ Corporate Partners—organizations courageous enough to reject the myth that talking about Jesus in the workplace is “bad for business.” These leaders understand that proclaiming Christ is not a liability but a blessing, and that integrity, righteousness, and God-honoring culture produce the kind of excellence the world desperately needs.
In an era where companies hide their beliefs out of fear, our Corporate Partners stand tall, boldly declaring Him as Lord while delivering world-class products and services. Their faith-driven courage strengthens our movement and inspires thousands across the globe.
“Those who honor Me, I will honor.” — 1 Samuel 2:30.
And we’ve watched God honor these partners in real time.
It’s time to flip the narrative: Instead of punishing Christ-centered businesses, let’s reward them. Let’s buy from them, promote them, and celebrate them. Because when believers rally behind companies that unapologetically stand for Jesus, we reshape the marketplace, influence culture, and send an unmistakable message that faith is not a weakness—it’s our greatest strength.
If you want to join these courageous partners and put your products and services in front of a massive, international, Christ-focused audience, reach out to me directly at pneuberger@csuiteforchrist.com.
Stand with us, partner with us, and let’s cover the world in Christ together.
