A God Who Pursues God is constantly reaching out for His children to come to Him and rest in His peace and forgiveness. But just like the Israelites in Old Testament times, Christians today struggle to remain faithful to God and to follow Him completely. God loves us so much that He disciplines us when we rebel against Him. That’s because He wants the best for us—Himself. When we turn back to God, He willingly forgives us, even though we don’t deserve His mercy. This cycle repeats itself over and over in our lives, and yet God never stops pursuing us and reconciling us to Himself. Be thankful that God continually pursues your heart and soul. Even when you wander into a dry, desolate place, know that for every step you take back toward God, He will respond with overwhelming love, forgiveness, and healing.
