A Prayer for Post-Holiday Blues The holidays were busy with friends, family, traveling, laughter, presents, and game nights… And, sure, there were some emotional and exhausting moments, but overall– well, there’s a reason why it’s called the most wonderful time of the year, right? It was nice to have a bit of a break from the festivities, but now, reality is starting to set in. We’re supposed to wait another 340-some not-most-wonderful days before we get to experience this again?! While one of the things that makes the holidays so special is the anticipation and the fleeting nature of the season, it can still be a letdown when it’s all over and back to “normal life.” The busyness of the season can also sometimes cover up some of the negative emotions we’ve been struggling to process– loneliness, stress, loss. And- now you’ve got to face them all again.
