What is your life displaying? I recently flew to a prayer retreat in Houston, Texas. When I arrived at the airport in Seattle, I looked at one of the large “Departures” screens. There was intense weather across the East Coast, so this board was filled with flight cancellations. It said: flight 234 to Charlotte—cancelled. Flight 267 to New York—cancelled. Flight 767 to Columbus—cancelled. Line after line with the same thing: cancelled, cancelled, cancelled. But what caught my attention was at the very bottom of the screen: an airline advertisement with the slogan, “We love to fly, and it shows.” The display board full of cancellations and the message from the airline were not consistent—they were in direct opposition to each other. I want to encourage you with this simple message: don’t let your lips and your life preach two different messages. Today, I want to encourage you with the miraculous message of what it means to align your principles with your actions. When we are consistent, God can do incredible things through our lives! Inconsistent messages, however, destroy the work of God that we are so desperately trying to undertake. So let me encourage you again to make a bold stand for Jesus today so that you can align your lips and your life with this message: We love Jesus, and it shows. Never forget, my friend—you are a miracle.
