How strong is your faith really?

How strong is your faith really? When my mom pointed out that I let my doubts show when I talk with her and my dad about problems, even though I speak very differently on stage, it really made me stop and think… And I realized: being truly authentic isn’t that easy, even when you genuinely mean to be. 🫶🏻 I truly believed I was 100% authentic when I stood on stage. But when the spotlight isn’t on you anymore, other sides come out. And, honestly? That’s not how I want to be. So I questioned myself—and that’s a very good thing. Even biblically. For example, the Bible says: “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.” (2 Corinthians 13:5, NIV) And notice that it says, “Examine YOURSELVES.” Not, “Wait until someone else points it out to you.” That responsibility is yours alone. When God draws our attention to something, it’s because He has more in mind for us, not because He wants to punish us! Yes, it did sting a bit to have my own mother hold up that mirror. But it was necessary and good. It led me to question myself again, and through that, to consciously choose to believe even more deeply. And to speak every word—on stage, too—with greater intention. If you notice that your faith has “aged a little,” or maybe isn’t quite as genuine as you’d like it to be, then pray as David did and ask God: “Make my faith strong” ❤️ “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, And lead me along the path of everlasting life.” (Psalm 139:24, NLT) Amen. You are a miracle! Déborah Rosenkranz
