Loving Obedience

Loving Obedience Jesus’ disciples were worried about how they were supposed to live after He was no longer with them. So Jesus assured them that even when He would be physically gone, He would still lead them in their daily journeys through the Holy Spirit. Today, we are Jesus’ disciples. Not only do we get to love Jesus by following His commands, but we also have His Holy Spirit within us through every step of obedience, even when we fall short. By following His lead and having faith that His commands are just, you will experience what living in His grace is truly like. The perfect Father you’re obeying is gracious enough to still catch you when you make mistakes, so there is no need to obey Him just to try to earn His favor. Instead, obedience is rooted in love. Today, actively love Him by finding new ways to live in obedience. Trust in His Spirit, and thank Him for His guidance. Though we can’t see Him physically with us, He’s given us a Guide to lead us on our journeys. And He promises to show Himself to us more and more when we ask and obey.
