Uniquely Gifted Did you know that God has a unique role for you to play in His amazing story? Do you know what it is? Whether or not you’ve figured it out, know that God created you to have a special place in His church. We aren’t just spectators who are supposed to enjoy a good sermon and sing some songs, absorbing the benefits of being saved and playing no part in Christ’s body. Rather, our job is to meet the needs of our community with the gifts and talents we have received from God. It’s easy to get caught up in trying to decipher how we can be most useful, but that’s not the point. Using our gifts—whatever they may be— contributes to the strengthening of the church; that’s the purpose of every gift. So if you’ve felt a desire to become more involved with the church, don’t hesitate; dive in! Your role is far from insignificant. Don’t get stuck questioning whether you have anything important to give, and don’t be discouraged by how small your role may seem. No one gets left out. Take the opportunity to play your part in Christ’s glorious story.
