Love through Action

Love through Action Actions reveal the heart, and what we choose to do reveals what is most important to us. The places we spend our time and money reveal what and who we value. What kind of actions reveal a heart of love for God? Scripture tells us we can’t love Him without loving others like He does. What would it look like to love your brothers and sisters well? Would your life be characterized by peace and harmony with others or constant tension? Would you be quick-tempered or use a sharp tone? Would you claim to love God, but still have enemies? The good news is God gives us the power to love like He loves. We can only love because He first extended Himself to us in perfect, sacrificial love. And we love God well when we love others well! Our actions toward our brothers and sisters reveal our heart. Today, reflect on your actions and current relationships: Are you tense, kind, gentle, patient, quick-tempered? Let Jesus fill your heart again with His love, so you can truly love those God puts in your path.
