Peace and Thankfulness
Peace and Thankfulness
How can we find peace? So many people struggle to define what peace is, let alone finding some amid the stresses of the day. But we don’t find lasting peace through small changes or outwardly applied techniques. Peace is a result of being made alive with Christ—and thus made thankful. We can be at peace with ourselves, others, and with the future struggles we know we will still face here on this earth, because we know that He has saved us.
Ephesians 2:14 says that Jesus is our peace. Through His sacrifice, we are brought closer to God and are free to live in peace with God where there was once hostility. Because of this, we can also have the freedom to live in peace with one another.
When peace rules over our hearts, thanksgiving overflows into praise, allowing us to build each other up. Are you at peace with God and with those around you? And if so, whom are you building up today? Let’s embody peace and thankfulness as we walk into the places we have been called today.
