Today’s worries don’t have to matter to you!
Today’s worries don’t have to matter to you!
So, just between us: What’s the worry that’s already been bothering you since this morning?
Maybe you even woke up in the middle of the night thinking about that worry. Or maybe it’s something you haven’t really put into words yet, but it’s already taken up quite a bit of space deep inside you.
Ahh, the whole topic of worrying—if only we could get that under control, right?
But there’s one thing we need to understand: We will never be completely “worry-free,”
and at some point, that should simply stop bothering us. 🥳
Because Jesus never said, “Believe in Me and every day will be nothing but good.”
But He did promise: “I will give you My peace every single day.”
It’s so important to understand this: Jesus can give you a peace that truly lasts!
But for that peace to be experienced, something has to happen within you. Let’s take a quick look at the well-known verse from 1 Peter 5:
“Cast ALL your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7, NIV, emphasis mine)
First, notice the word ALL.
Not just part of them.
Not only the things you can’t handle on your own—no.
Even the small stuff: “I hope I don’t get stuck in traffic today.”
Then, cast ALL your worries on God.
“He cares for you” means: worries will exist, but you don’t have to carry them—you can pass them on immediately. Cast ALL your worries directly onto God.
I know—we’ve heard this a thousand times. But maybe we’ve only actually done it a hundred times… So there’s still room to grow.
And maybe today you’ll do it for the very first time—and it is and remains your choice. Worries will always be there. But you can carry them with you into the day—or hand them over right away. You know which one I recommend, right? 😉
Because don’t forget: We’ll never be completely “worry-free”—and at some point, that should simply stop bothering us.
…because we know who can take those worries from us—and He wants to!
You are a miracle!
