Speak Truth, but in Love❤️
Speak Truth, but in Love❤️
Are you having a disagreement with someone right now? Or maybe just a difference of opinion? How do you usually handle it?
I can tell you how I handle it.
Sometimes, readers don’t completely agree with me, and they send me emails letting me know why. I’ve noticed something interesting about those emails.
Some start with: “Thank you for the daily encouragement, all the work that goes into it, and the love behind it. However, today I noticed that…”
And then there are the emails that read quite differently: “Ms. Rosenkranz! The next time you send something out, please pay closer attention, because…” And then they explain to me exactly what I apparently did wrong.
Recently, I received another email like that. To this day, I still don’t know what I supposedly did wrong, because I didn’t read the email all the way to the end. Only the emails that begin with love find their way to my heart.
And that’s what I want to remind you of today:
A misunderstanding that is addressed in love can heal more than an accusation ever will.
Is there a misunderstanding between you and someone else right now? May I ask you this question:
Is the person you’re dealing with right now not more important to you than whatever is standing between you?
What if you reached out to that person today and spoke the truth?
Speak truth, but in love. ❤️
You won’t just bless that person by doing so; you’ll also bring joy to God’s heart. Because He doesn’t just love it when we love—He IS love.
His Word says: “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” (Proverbs 15:1, NIV)
What will you choose today? Let me encourage you:
Speak the truth in love
—and see for yourself what wonderful things God can do through it!
You are a miracle!
Déborah Rosenkranz
