Power of the Holy Spirit

Intro:

Jesus gave the precious Holy Spirit to help and comfort His followers. Complete dependence on His guidance and strength is one of your greatest needs. Without the Holy Spirit, your prayers will be dull and lifeless. The Holy Spirit helps in many ways. Receive Him in every way you need Him.
Prayer:
Father, I need to be filled with Your Holy Spirit, so I can touch those around me with Your love and truth. I confess my need and I make room for Your Spirit fill me with His love and power. Please forgive me for the times I have not given Him the proper place in my life. My life is powerless without Him. Your word says that if I ask, You will give me more of the Holy Spirit.
I come to You now, and confess my need to be filled with Your power and Your love. Father fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I thank You for this precious gift, and I ask You to guard my heart from grieving Him. Holy Spirit, I invite You to be my prayer partner, and to guide me with Your divine Presence into the holy of hollies.
Scripture:

Zechariah 4:6 “‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts.”
Acts 1:8 “…but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses.”
Acts 10:38 “[You know of] Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and [how] He went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil; for God was with Him.”
Luke 11:13 “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall [your] heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?”
