Hello All,
I have an urgent prayer request for a dear friend from Kyrgyzstan. Her name is Leila Lushanlo. Susan and I have known her since 1999 when she was a student at # 10 School in Tokmok. She is battling Cancer.
She was an active participant with Susan and me in all of our mission activities when we were in KG and she was someone we could depend upon when we were not there. After high school she earned her Bachelor's degree. She married and had three children. She taught English and other subjects at # 10 School, from which she had graduated. A few years ago she was hired by The Turkish School in Tokmok. This is the most rigorous high school in the city. It is a male only boarding school.
Leila was enrolled in a Master's program at American University in Bishkek and was scheduled to graduate this June. She loved this academic challenge. However, I had not heard from her for several months. I attributed this to a teaching load, an academic load, and a cancer challenge. However, this is vintage Leila, she tends to retreat into herself when she is not perfect.
Please pray for a remission of her cancer, pray for her family, but most importantly pray that she comes to appreciate that we love her for being a loving young woman and that God loves her, forgives her and appreciates her serving nature. Nothing else matters!
Thank you and may God bless you all and bring you His peace - Love, hank
