Hello All,
Chris, in Maine, is a dear friend of more than 50 years. He and I worked in the same real estate office in the Beach Area of Los Angeles. I left for the Central Coast and he remained in the greater SoCal area and began to build houses. At some point he decided to return to Maine where he was born and grew up to build log homes. So both being busy we would often go 3 months or so without contact, not unusual.
A few days ago I began thinking about Chris and shot off my usual, How you doin'? message. This is his response. Please add Chris to your prayer list. Thank you ALL
Love, hank

I'll try to do better, keeping you informed!!! I would appreciate being on your Prayer List. This health issue is a little unnerving.
To be clear, I wasn't in the hospital for 8 straight weeks. I was in for 6, out for a few days, back in for a week, out for a few more days, and back in for another week +. My blood levels and pressure were very low. I was passing out and falling every time I went home. The last time I spent 18 hours on the bedroom floor until my housekeeper showed up. The doctors finally found the problem. I was slowly losing blood internally in the stomach lining. Why it took so long to figure it out, I'll never understand. Part of me thinks the hospital was just milking the insurance company. At least the heart issue was discovered. My energy level has been declining for months, but I thought it was depression and lack of motivation after Dustine's passing. Now I'm at a point where I can't walk 50' without having to sit down for a few minutes.
